Comments In the absence of specific 'tramway' buttons, it is likely that Dover Corporation used this unusual pseudo coat of arms issue for its tram staff (as far as I am aware, Dover Corporation did not have a transport department following the demise of the trams, as the buses were subsequently run by the East Kent Road Car Company Ltd. The arms were never officially registered with the College of Heralds, so technically they are a 'device' - they show the patron saint of Dover, St Martin (on horseback), dividing a cloak with his sword to give to a poor man outside the City of Amiens.
