Comment There are numerous examples of the above pattern (large size) with 'West Riding' misspelled as '‘YORKSHIRE (WEST RIDINIG) ELECTRIC TRAMWAYS C^O L^TD'

The Yorkshire (West Riding) Electric Tramways Co Ltd (Y[WR]ETCo) was a subsidiary of the Yorkshire Electric Tramways Construction Syndicate Ltd, the company which also built the Wakefield and District Light Railways (W&DLR). The Y(WR)ETCo therefore consisted of two unconnected systems, the W&DLR and a line linking Normanton, Pontefract and Castleford. Following the Y(WR)ETCo's takeover of the W&DLR, staff of the latter were almost certainly issued with YETCo uniforms and buttons.
