Button description Uniforms probably not worn

Comment Numerous photographs of Reading Tramways Company employees have survived (see link), and these show that informal attire was worn for at least the first 15 years or so of the company's existence. Although there is a possibility that uniforms may have been issued in the last few years of operation, it is currently impossible to state this with certainty, as photos which show uniformed staff standing by company-liveried horsecars may very well have been taken after the corporation take-over. What can however be stated with certainty, is that no buttons have come to light that are readily identifiable as Reading Tramways Company.
